Welcome to my homepage!
Tabitha K. Peter, Ph.D.
I’m Tabitha Peter, and I work as a biostatistician at Merck. This is my website where I link together all the facets of my professional life – writing, coding projects, professional news, etc. All views I express here are my own, not representing the company for which I work.
I am currently starting a career in clinical trials statistics, which is an exciting and purposeful new chapter after completing my doctoral work in statistical genetics. My professional focus is communicating accessible, interpretable results to people with expertise outside of statistics, especially to medical professionals. Several of my past projects are explained more in detail here.
An essential skill for good communication – and for clear thinking – is writing. For that reason, writing is an area where I am always motivated to grow. To see my peer-reviewed work, look on my publications page. I have also written software, including contributions to two published R/C++ packages, plmmr (as lead developer) and biglasso (as co-developer). Beyond writing technical pieces and statistical software, I keep a diary and write poetry. To learn more about me and my journey to biostatistics, I invite you to check out my bio page.
I’m currently located on the east coast. If you’d like to collaborate or contact me, please email me at tabitha.peter15\@gmail.com.
